TNFD (Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures)
The Task Force on Natural Resources Financial Disclosures (TNFD), comprised of 40 business and financial leaders from around the world, was launched in 2021 with the support of the G20. The TNFD provides recommendations and guidance to market participants and other stakeholders on how to assess, manage, and report on natural resource issues beyond climate change.
TNFD is,In line with the TNFD recommendations published in September 2023, more than 730 organizations have pledged to report on nature-related issues, building a global movement of support and action with total assets under management (AUM) reaching US$22 trillion.
The TNFD recommendations follow the traditional approach and recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and are aligned with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) impact criteria, the European Union's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) sustainability reporting standards.
