TNFD (Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures)
The Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) is an international organization that creates a framework for private companies and financial institutions to appropriately assess and disclose risks and opportunities related to natural capital and biodiversity.*1.
The goal is to shift global financial flows from negative to positive outcomes for nature.*2It was launched in June 2021.
Following the approach of the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), which encourages companies and financial institutions to disclose financial risks related to climate change and how they are dealing with these risks, the report encourages organizations to disclose information based on four pillars: governance, strategy, risk management, and metrics.
In addition, we will approach each industry by focusing on the key industries of "agriculture," "food processing," and "fishing."*3The framework is scheduled to be published in 2023.
